Journey to Land's End

This is a fantastic option for endurance riders or bikepackers. A scenic road ride leads you to the all-gravel climb up the mesa. Be inspired by the grit and tenacity displayed by 200 WWI veterans who constructed Land’s End Road during the Great Depression. The switchback turns will be memorable. At 10,500ft is Land’s End Observatory. This rustic ranger station was built by the U.S Forest Service (1936-37). It’s closed to the public, but affords wide open views towards Fruita.
